Blogging Vacation

This year I started my summer vacation by taking a blogging vacation. It wasn't really intentional, but it seems to have taken the backseat. Hopefully I'll be more on the ball. We started our month by Aidan taking swimming lessons. This was his third year of lessons, but the first by himself since we've only done Mommy and Me the first two years. We take him to a woman who I grew up dancing and taking swimming lessons with, and it's been fun to have my kids go there now. She has a private pool and luckily keeps it so warm, which was nice since it was freezing and poured rain two of the days. He did such a great job and I was so proud of his willingness to try everything. He's pretty fearless in the water which makes me nervous but I'm happy he's not afraid!

Meadow

A couple weekends ago, Joseph and Juli invited my parents and us down for a weekend in Meadow, where her family has a house. I thought I grew up in the country, but that's nothing compared to this place. We had the best time and it was SO quiet! No t.v., cell phones, internet, ect... I didn't realize how much I needed a break from all of that. We slept alot, ate, rode 4 wheelers and riding lawn mowers, watched movies, ate, slept, went to the hot pots, took walks, and the boys went golfing. I don't think Aidan threw a single fit all weekend- he was so happy to play outside all day and sleep when he was tired. Other than Ethan having a small bout of the flu and me backing into the fence post in my car (what can I say- I have trouble with inanimate objects when backing up), it was a great weekend!

Art City Days...

In an effort to get the kids out of the house, we got together with the Burningham's and the Gleaves' for a fun night out for dinner and the carnival. It takes some effort to get our ever growing clan out for the night, but we always have so much fun together and I'm so happy that our kids enjoy each other so much!

Aidan and Braxton-why is it all 3 year olds smile like this when they say "Cheese!"?

Aidan loved the roller coaster- we thought it was funny that he knew to put up his hands without us telling him.

Ethan was so mad that we didn't get him a balloon when the other kids got one, so when he finally got his he was so excited he didn't know what to do with himself! I just love his face!
